Collage of Impressions was recorded over a number of weekends in the DAYTROTTER STUDIO in Rock Island, IL with Pat Stolley at the controls! Considered by the band as our debut full length we recorded 25 songs, on 2 inch tape, molding it down to 16 tracks that we felt fit the concept of what we thought was a record!
We took this one pretty seriously, hell we even hired a string quartet. A few of the songs ended up soundtracking the award winning DIY Indie Film "When I Die" by STD Films.
What they said about it: "It’s quite fitting that Poison Control Center’s debut LP is called A Collage of Impressions. This fearless, energetic Iowa-based indie pop-rock band extracts the essences of a wide variety of musical influences and fuses them into a diverse sound that alternately comes across as brilliant and disjointed. At its core, this album refuses to be pinned down and labeled, a feature that cuts both ways."-- Three Imaginary Girls (8 out of 10)
